The Development Bank of North Macedonia has launched an initiative to introduce this credit line as early as 2022. Following the needs of companies, with the support of the Program for Increasing Market Employability - IME, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and based on the analyzes obtained from the studies, the bank introduced the new credit line in its catalog of products.
The credit line will be implemented through qualified intermediating banks. It was created in order to provide companies with favorable credit support during the implementation of digitization and digital transformation projects. The Development Bank made its own funds available for the implementation of this credit line.
Beneficiaries of loans from the credit line for digitization and digital transformation through intermediary banks can be micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. The interest rate for end users is up to 2.9%.
Companies will be able to apply for a maximum of EUR 300,000 for fixed assets up to 8 years, including a grace period of up to 12 months, and a maximum of EUR 100,000 for working capital up to 5 years, with a grace period of up to 6 months.
The Development Bank, as before and in the future, will continuously adjust its products in the direction of supporting companies in the newly created operating conditions - CEO Naumov pointed out.
