Kire Naumov

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Kire Naumov was born in 1971 in Skopje. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje at the Department of Business Economics, he began his career in the Agency for Transformation of Enterprises and Social Capital as an associate in the Finance and Control Sector. At the beginning of his career, he worked as an Assistant in the field of mathematics and statistics at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje, as an Advisor to the President of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on economic issues, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Macedonia on economic issues, Director of the Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of an insurance brokerage company, additional Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy Minister of Economy.

He has been involved in economic issues related to public debt and public finances as well as challenges in the private sector and public policies for more than 20 years. He has got more than 7 years of experience in advising public policymakers, he is an enthusiast who strives to contribute to a more efficient, transparent, and responsible public financial sector. He has been largely criticizing the public policies which result in unproductive spending and an increase of public debt, as well as the non-transparent public procedures in general.

A person who is constantly upgrading; reading is a special pleasure for him, and it is mostly topics from politics, public policies, history, and indicators of economic development that interest him the most.

 

As of 22.11.2019, Kire Naumov has been performing the duties of a Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Managing Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Faruk Ismaili

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Faruk Ismaili was born in 1976 in Tetovo. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the EGE University in Izmir, Turkey, he began his professional career in the Municipality of Tetovo as a local economic development coordinator. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a loan officer to legal entities in Stopanska Banka, as a Branch Manager in Ohridska Banka in Tetovo, and as a Regional Manager of the branches of Ohridska Banka in Tetovo and Gostivar. As of 16.12.2019, Faruk Ismaili has been performing the duties of a Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Managing Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Supervisory Board

Magdalena Simonovska

PRESIDENT

Magdalena Simonovska was born in 1978 in Skopje. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, at the Department of Finance and Banking, she began her professional career in ProCredit Banka Skopje, where she worked for sixteen years in a managerial position, starting as a loan officer, and continuing as a Director of the branches in Tetovo, Kumanovo and Skopje and a Regional Director of the branches in Skopje. During her period in ProCredit Banka, she also completed the management academy specialized in general economics, banking, and management of the ProCredit Academy in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as a large number of international trainings. She continued her career as a director of various sectors in the central administration, and then as a Director of the small and medium-sized business clients branch of the Central Administration of ProCredit Banka in Skopje. In 2020, she started working as a special advisor to the Minister of Finance, and in 2021 as a state advisor for the financial system in the Ministry of Finance.

Advisor to the Minister of Finance in the area of ​​financial systems, public debt and international finance, public revenues and tax and customs policy, as well as macroeconomics, support in direct foreign investments and relations of the private sector with the Government. Experience in research and creation of economic policies, development finance, and competitiveness. With a proven work history of 17 years in the banking industry, she is skilled in negotiation, and business planning, with analytical abilities and market research. Professional experience in public finance, banking and the entire financial industry, investment management and management consulting, and projects for small and medium-sized private companies and institutions in the public sector.

 

As of 06.12.2021, she has been performing the function of a President of the Supervisory Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Milaim Ameti

MEMBER

Milaim Ameti was born in 1991 in the Republic of North Macedonia. Upon completing the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, he started his professional career as a Project Assistant in the Economic Chamber of Northwestern Macedonia on several projects, namely as the Head of the Chamber, Technical Assistant, and Project Manager for RNM, Slovenia, and France. He worked as a researcher for Helvetas M, a Project Coordinator for RNM in the Economic Chamber of Northwestern Macedonia, and then as an Operating Officer of the Economic Chamber of Northwestern Macedonia. He worked as the Operating Officer of Set-Holding, and in 2021 he undertook the duties of following the structural reforms and management of the cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of the RNM, being in charge of economic issues, coordination with the economic ministries and investments.

At the same time, he also worked as an external evaluator and specialist in monitoring and evaluating the projects financed by donors.

Over eight years of experience in the Chamber of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Policies, regional strategies for balanced development, a Project Manager of seven donor-funded projects and ten inter-project chambers, and experience in the consulting sector. Areas of expertise: project cycle management, economic analyses, macro-economic strategies, development of follow-up, and assessment tools.

 

As of 10.12.2021, Milaim Ameti has been performing the function of a member of the Supervisory Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Vjollca Ejupi

MEMBER

Vjollca Ejupi was born in 1984 in the Republic of North Macedonia. Upon graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Finance, at the South East European University in Tetovo, she began her professional career in the financial sector of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of North Macedonia. In the Ministry of Economy, she started as the Head of the accounting and payments department and then continued as a financial advisor in the Cabinet of the Minister of Economy in January 2020. Since then she has been in the position of a State Advisor for financial issues.

 

As of 10.12.2021, she has been performing the function of a member of the Supervisory Board of Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Sonja Petrusheva

MEMBER

Sonja Petrusheva has graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and has passed the bar exam. She has more than 20 years of work experience in the PETRUSHEVA law office, specializing in financial and commercial law. As a result of her work experience and knowledge, with expertise in numerous projects financed by the EU in the period 1996-2012, in 2001, she was appointed as the Executive Officer of the Center for European Integration Foundation, established by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia. As a person with special rights and responsibilities in the field of banking, in a continuous period of eight years, she has acquired managerial experience as a member of the Supervisory Board of Halk Bank AD Skopje and three years as a member of the Audit Board.

For a period of 9 months, she held the position of Acting General Director of IK Banka, which was rebranded in 2012 as Halk Bank AD Skopje.

With her previous managerial experience in the bank, she demonstrated her commitment to a comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations and by-laws and procedures applicable in this area. During the eight-year period, she supervised and controlled all business activities of the bank, with the aim of overcoming weaknesses. The commitment and ability for the necessary leadership and dynamics of the environment were the basis for quick reactions and making strategic and planning decisions to lead the teams in the direction of their efficiency, growth of the bank, reduction of the non-functional loans portfolio from 13% to 2.3%, in just three and a half years, increase and improvement of the loan portfolio by 70%, an increase of the main capital, quality placement of funds which contributed to the better positioning of the bank on the financial market.

 

As of September 2019, Sonja Petrusheva has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje.

Elena Pagovska Peltekovski

MEMBER

Elena Pagovska Peltekovski was born in 1984 in Skopje. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at the Department of Management, and completed her postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economics at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, at the Department of International Management. She began her career in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia - General Secretariat, as an Associate in the Department for Financial Issues. In the course of her career, she worked as the Head of the Financial Affairs Sector at the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia - General Secretariat, as an Assistant Secretary for financial issues in the Office of the President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, in the Secretariat for Monitoring and Supporting Institutions and the implementation of the program of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and strategic projects.

She has been actively involved in activities in the field of financial and accounting work, budget work, economic management, supporting and coordinating the processes and systems of the General Secretariat, and coordinating the implementation of recommendations upon audits for more than 13 years. She has been a part of the successful implementation of projects within the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia in accordance with the Air Pollution Reduction Program, successful implementation of the components of state aid, regulation of special laws, successful implementation of several economic measures, as well as the work processes of strategic investments.

As of 13.04.2022, Elena Pagovska Peltekovski has been performing the duties of a member of the Supervisory Board of the Development Bank of North Macedonia AD Skopje
